How Aperi sources and labels market data

Aperi’s methodology for native venue prices, charts, volume, 24-hour changes, timestamps, missing data and public API capabilities.

The native contract is the source of truth

Aperi groups reviewed reference exposures into a public catalogue while retaining the native venue, market identifier, symbol, collateral and price unit. The catalogue includes public sources from Hyperliquid, Aster, Ostium, gTrade and Avantis. Listing a source does not establish funded execution on that venue.

Where reviewed live candidates exist, the catalogue can select a route according to its availability and liquidity policy. This changes the displayed route, not an existing position’s identity. Quotes, history and statistics must still match the selected native market; another venue’s data is not silently substituted.

Order-book data and oracle data have different meaning

Hyperliquid and Aster supply native order books, trades and candles for their reviewed markets. A book is a snapshot of resting venue liquidity; a trade tape describes completed native trades. A mid, mark, index or last price answers a different question, so those labels should be read separately.

Oracle-source markets provide quotes and price history. Aperi does not fabricate a visible order book or trade tape for those routes. An oracle OHLC candle describes price movement; it does not become a traded-volume candle simply because a chart can display it.

24-hour volume is traded notional in its own unit

The market list’s 24-hour volume describes a source’s trading activity, with its currency and window retained. Hyperliquid and Aster native reports are distinct from activity indexed from Ostium orders, gTrade history or Avantis aggregates. Independently proven volume can exist even when the current quote is unavailable.

Aperi requires appropriate source identity, window coverage and freshness before displaying indexed activity. It keeps the report’s window end and receipt time separate from the quote clock. An activity report does not reopen a closed market or make a stale price current.

A closed window is not a live rolling statistic

Aster can provide a venue-reported rolling window or a complete closed-hourly candle window. Aperi labels historical values as Last reported or Closed 24h, with their observed window time. Native quote volume remains in USDT rather than being silently relabelled USD.

For oracle-source 24-hour changes, Aperi compares eligible native price observations and preserves the reference time and calculation basis. Reference-market closures can move the usable observation outside a simple clock-day comparison. A closed-window result is labelled as historical instead of being presented as a fresh tick.

Missing data remains missing

A missing value is shown as unavailable or a dash, not replaced with zero. Zero trading activity is only meaningful when the source actually proves an empty covered window. Missing candle volume, an incomplete native response and an absent order book are different conditions.

Public API financial values use decimal strings. Responses retain source timestamps, data coverage and native units so applications can decide which observations are suitable for their use. Clients should inspect those fields rather than assume that a successful HTTP response makes every data point current.

Public connectivity is separate from financial readiness

A live public feed demonstrates that data can be read. It does not prove wallet ownership, derivatives eligibility, funds, signing permission or a successful venue submission. gTrade and Avantis are public-data references in Aperi; their catalogue presence does not grant funded access.

Start with the public product catalogue, inspect the contract specification and read endpoint capabilities in the developer documentation. Account preferences and owner workflows use separate authentication and approvals. Funded submissions remain disabled on the public website.
